For SolNet, this means agile management. Therefore, SolNet does not work with usual structures and hierarchies but as a maximally flexible and quickly acting network. Processes are lean, clearly defined, and maximally goal-oriented.

Responsibility

SolNet generates significantly more than 100% of the electricity consumed on its premises through the photovoltaic systems installed at company headquarters and storage areas. This includes the electricity required to operate the fleet of electric vehicles.

Since 2018, all passenger cars in our fleet have been powered exclusively by electricity. Our first electric vehicle, a Tesla Model X deployed in 2018, is still in daily use today and has already covered more than 330,000 km. Over the years, additional Tesla Model 3 and Model Y vehicles have joined the fleet, and we now operate a double-digit number of electric cars from various manufacturers. Looking ahead, we are preparing to integrate our first electric commercial vehicles into the fleet in autumn 2025, with the arrival of two e-Sprinters.

In the commercial vehicle sector, we currently still rely on Euro-6 diesel due to the lack of suitable electric alternatives. However, wherever possible we switch to electric: at our facilities, wheel loaders and forklifts are electrically powered, and small tools required for maintenance and construction of open-space systems—such as chainsaws, brush cutters, and hedge trimmers—are battery-operated.

At all solar parks we construct, charging options for electric vehicles and machinery are provided. Photovoltaic systems are also installed on the roofs of our storage halls and company headquarters, accompanied by charging stations for staff and fleet vehicles. For long-distance travel using Tesla Superchargers, we exclusively rely on electricity from renewable sources.

The commercial use of electric vehicles requires rethinking tour and construction site planning. We embrace this challenge with confidence—after all, innovative thinking is one of our core competencies.

  • Project Development

    Every project is unique; otherwise, it wouldn't be a project by definition. Each project comes with its challenges that need to be mastered. We have decades of experience in developing renewable energy projects in Germany, various markets in Europe, as well as in Africa and the Middle East. This experience helps us identify risks, manage them, and define lean and efficient processes. This allows us to achieve milestones quickly and cost-effectively to reach the set goals.

    In Germany, we conduct project development for open space installations starting from 10 MW primarily as a cooperation partner of Trianel GmbH. Trianel GmbH is a network of 58 municipal utilities from Germany and neighboring European countries.

    Additionally, we develop open space installations in cooperation with EnBW and also for our own portfolio.

  • Construction

    The first solar project by the managing director of SolNet GmbH was planned, built, and installed in 1994. Decades later, with numerous construction projects both domestically and internationally, we maintain a clear focus during construction execution: A construction project is successful for us when top-quality is delivered through efficient and well-structured processes at attractive prices.

    In Germany, we construct open space systems starting from 1,000 kW and roof systems from 300 kW installed capacity. Further information about new roof system constructions can be found in the gallery.

    We are happy to analyze your area's potential and provide a free quote for the turnkey construction of a PV system.

    Alternatively, we also lease your roof space and install a PV system that we operate ourselves. In this case, you receive an annual roof lease and, if needed, cost-effective, environmentally friendly electricity from your own roof. The minimum size for a roof space suitable for leasing is 2,000 m².

  • Operation

    SolNet develops and constructs renewable energy facilities for investors and institutional clients. Some of the self-developed facilities are also transferred to our own operations. These facilities are held for the long term or offered in the market at a defined point after commissioning.

    Currently, we have ten PV installations in our portfolio that are held for the long term.

  • Maintenance

    Regular maintenance ensures optimal yields and minimizes the risk of faults. Your PV roof system also needs to undergo regular inspection and maintenance at least every 4 years.

    We are happy to take over the maintenance tasks for your PV system starting from 500 kW. Maintenance begins with yield analysis and extends to module cleaning and rectifying any identified defects.
